Music We Love: Martin Miller

Music We Love: Martin Miller
TIME OFF (2).jpg

This one is a bit out of the ordinary … Can you have ‘out of the ordinary’ when you only posted 7 previous Music We Love blog posts?  Well, however you’d like to define it, this next artist is unique!  Unique and fucking awesome!

Martin Miller, guitarist, producer, guitarist, composer, guitarist, teacher, and did I mention guitarist is the incredible musician I plan to gush about in this Music We Love.  What makes him unique, outside of his absolutely stellar guitar chops, is how I stumbled across this music.

Just a little group called the Martin Miller Session Band and a popular video platform named YouTube, you may have heard of this, dear readers.  Miller brings together a multitude of outstanding musicians to perform the most Ultimate of cover versions.

Spread the love and check out these awesome musicians:

Benni Jud - Bass & Vocals

Marius Leicht - Keyboards & Vocals

Felix Lehrmann - Drums

Matthias Proctor - Vocals

Nico Schliemann - Guitar & Vocals

Plus guests, Andy Timmons, Tom Quayle, Jenny Marsala, Martina Blazeska, Michal Skulski and more.

It’s through this group and their Ultimate “Fill in the Band/Artist” Medleys that I discovered and was blown away by Martin Miller.

They tackle music by The Police, Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, Queen, Genesis and TOTO.  This last one was the one that really got me.  None of this bullshit Weezer garbage cover of “Africa”; the Martin Miller Session Band elevates every song they play to another level.  They make you question, do I really want to go back and listen to the original or just listen to the real deal Martin Miller Session Band version.
